our family vacation

We took a family trip to Florida. We went to Sanibel Island, a cruise, and the Space Center. We got up at 3:00 in the morning and drove to the airport. First, we got on an airplane and went to Chicago. When we got to Chicago we got on another airplane and flew to Fort Meyers. We rented a car at Fort Meyers and drove to our hotel.

The first place we went was Sanibel Island. At our hotel we swam in the pool and at the beach. We saw dolphins, shells, fish, and crabs. The breakfast was all free. There were waffles, eggs, fruit, toast, sweet rolls and drinks. We rented bikes and rode to all kinds of different places. We went to a fishing pier, the lighthouse, and then we rode back. We went to a store that had parrots. The funniest parrot was Ceaser. My sister saw him poop. The restaurant we went to was called the Island cow. I had clams. They were good.

After Sanibel Island we went to Fort Lauderdale. The rain on the way was horrible. I wasn’t scared though. My mom saw a dead alligator on the side of the road. After my mom saw the alligator I had to go to the bathroom so bad. We had to stop at a gas station. I got soaked on the way in and soaked on the way out. We stopped at Naples on the way there. I saw lots of fish jumping. It started pouring when I was in the water. When we got to our hotel the rain calmed down. Me and my dad ran to Taco Bell. This lady came and her butt was all wet. In the morning we went to breakfast. The lady wouldn’t let me use the waffle maker. I thought that was stupid. After breakfast I swam. There was a crab in the pool. My dad took the crab out of the pool with a knife. After we swam, we went on a shuttle and went on the cruise ship.

There was lots of things to do on the ship. There was mini golf, basketball, swimming pools, and kids club. Kids club has air hockey, foos ball, and video games. Mini golf was really fun too. I almost beat my dad. I beat my sister though. My papa won a gold metal and a silver metal in a chipping contest. The gold metal means he won first place and the silver means he won second place. I beet my sister though. Basketball I played with my kids club. One time I played with my sister and my dad. The swimming pool was really warm but at the end of the trip the pool was really cool. When the boat tips waves get in the pool. That was fun. We went to breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. At night my papa always got this desert called the Princess Love Boat Dream. I got a ceaser salad every night for an appetizer. At one of the swimming pools there was a TV under it. They called it “movies under the stars”.

We went to many different ports on our cruise. We went to Princess Cays, ST. Martin, St Thomas, and Grand Turk Let me tell you about these places.

At Princess Cays we got onto the life boats and went over to the beach. The snorkeling was really good there. Some of the fish were really big. Some of them were just little minnows. The sand was really soft. The sand was so soft that when you get out of the water the sand sticks to your feet. That really bugs me because I don’t like getting dirty. The food was really good. I ate a hot dog.

St Marten was really big. The fish were really cool. We snorkeled there too. We fed the fish there. The water was really warm. We rented a rental car. It was a car. Some of the beaches we went to in ST Marten were Orient beach and Maho beach. Maho beach had an airport at it.

St Thomas. was really big too. It had lots of fish. We snorkeled and saw fish too. I got bit by a fish it hurt. We rented a jeep because you can’t just walk to the places. I liked St Thomas the best out of all of the beaches.

I went fishing in Grand Turk. I caught the biggest fish. It was a yellow tail tuna. After I caught mine we started to catch some little baby tuna. After we went fishing we went shopping at Ron Jons and Pirana Joe. After we went shopping we went swimming in a big pool. My papa was spinning me in a big tube.

When we got of the ship we went to the Kennedy Space Center. There was lots of stuff to do there. I am going to tell you about the launch pad, the shuttle, and the rocket garden.

The launch pad was really big. The launch pad holds the shuttle. That is why it has to be so big. When the shuttle is about to take off some of the launch pad moves away.

The space shuttle is really big too. It has three tanks. Two are white and one is orange. I think that they all are fuel tanks but I don’t know about the orange one. I know that the white ones are though. When all three of those tanks drop off then the space shuttle has to use its own gas.
The rocket garden was pretty cool to because you got to see all kinds of different rockets. All of the rockets in the rocket garden were real. That was the cool thing about it. I got to sit in a space capsule.

I hope I can go on a cruise some day again. It was so fun. I really loved it. I love going on vacation.
